Overture 1928 - Take 3
Cranked out another one this morning. A little faster than last time, but not quite full speed yet, here's take 3 of "Overture 1928":
Before recording this, I grouped all the hard parts and cycled through them at different tempos for an hour or two. There are 7 moments or passages in the song that keep me from reaching full speed, 111bpm. I set a metronome in the range of 60-100bpm, played through each passage 4 times, and repeated at a new tempo in the same range. This was my first time trying this approach, and it really helped. I better get at it every day if I want to finish the final version by next week.
