I started learning Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Dirty Pool" today. I always thought I was underestimating how difficult that strumming would be, but I didn't have a clue. This guy was absolutely insane. And on crack.
Watch this and poop your pants.
I spent an hour working only on that strumming today. I'm starting stupid slow to make sure all the strokes are even. I feel like I made progress, but I'm still not even close. Maybe in a few weeks.
- warmup: left finger isolation, fingertip challenge (fret notes as hard as you can for as long as you can), 1 hr
- SRV: review, started "Dirty Pool", 1 hr
- "Dirty Pool" strumming, 1 hr
- Spent the rest of the day working on the new site. My main guitar's still in the shop, so now's the best time to finish it.
